Positions and claims
After reveal, your Sherd is a position in the pool’s stock tokens. Claiming is optional — you can hold indefinitely, trade the card, or claim when you want the underlying tokens in your wallet.
Interaction rules
| Stage | Allowed | Not allowed |
|---|---|---|
| Funding | Fund, early exit (−5%), trade sealed card | Claim stock tokens |
| Closed / Purchased | Hold, trade | Early exit, claim |
| Revealed | Hold, trade, claim anytime | Early exit, refund |
| Cancelled | Full deposit refund | Claim, trade as a live position |
Position growth
While your Sherd is revealed and unclaimed:
- You own a fixed ownership % of the pool’s stock holdings.
- The mark of that position moves with live stock prices (same quotes used on profile / inventory).
- Claiming converts that share into ERC-20 stock tokens in your wallet and burns the Sherd.
- Holding does not earn extra ownership — growth is price mark, not dilution.
Tight rules (product)
- No forced claim — dust sweeps wait until every participant has claimed.
- One claim per Sherd — claim burns the card; it cannot be listed again.
- Trade before claim — listed cards must be delisted (or sold) before claim.
- Early exit only while Funding — after close, wait for reveal (or cancel/refund if the pool never filled).
- Cancel path — if the deadline passes under goal and the pool is cancelled, refund recovers your deposit (entry fee stays with the protocol).
Why hold unclaimed?
- Keep a tradable Sherd on OpenSea or Sherhood Trade.
- Track mark / day move on your profile without claiming.
- Claim later when you want the tokens in-wallet.
